Butyl Tube Reclaim Rubber

Butyl Tube Reclaim Rubber is a recycled material derived from used butyl rubber tubes, commonly found in inner tubes for tires. This reclaimed rubber retains many of the advantageous properties of virgin butyl rubber while offering significant environmental and economic benefits. The reclaiming process involves breaking down used butyl rubber tubes, removing impurities, and producing a reusable rubber material.

Production Process
  1. Collection and Sorting: Used butyl rubber tubes are collected and sorted.
  2. Shredding: The tubes are shredded into smaller pieces to facilitate further processing.
  3. Devulcanization: The shredded rubber undergoes a devulcanization process, which involves breaking down the sulfur bonds that crosslink the rubber molecules. This can be achieved through mechanical, chemical, or thermal methods.
  4. Refining and Purification: The devulcanized rubber is refined and purified to remove any impurities, resulting in a clean and homogeneous material.
  5. Reclaiming: The purified rubber is then processed into reclaim rubber sheets or granules, ready for use in various applications.
